M42, the Abu Dhabi-based technology-driven healthcare group, has launched kidney.com, a free conversational AI assistant that provides personalised, real‑time kidney health education, together with its global renal‑care arm Diaverum. The multilingual platform, which was tested through more than 14,000 interactions, uses an AI assistant trained on trusted clinical resources and does not offer medical diagnoses or replace clinicians.
The service debuted in the UAE, France, Germany, Portugal and the UK, with further international rollouts planned in the coming months. Built with input from more than 30 nephrologists and nurses across 13 countries, kidney.com features voice control, the ability to interpret product labels from uploaded files and multilingual support. M42 has built technical guardrails to reduce AI‑generated inaccuracies, limiting the model to predefined medical sources rather than allowing unrestricted internet access. The platform is currently free to use and forms part of a planned wider digital ecosystem aimed at tens of millions of chronic kidney disease patients and caregivers globally.
