Together AI, a San Francisco-based AI cloud platform, and HUMAIN, a Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) company, announced a strategic partnership on August 31 at the LEAP 2026 conference in Riyadh. The partnership includes the construction of a new 250-megawatt data center in Saudi Arabia.
The deal connects HUMAIN's rapidly expanding AI compute capacity in Saudi Arabia with Together AI's global customer ecosystem and AI-native inference platform. The partnership is expected to yield over $5 billion in gross annualized revenue in its first year. "The future of artificial intelligence depends on the ability to combine world-class infrastructure with world-class platforms and ecosystems," said Tareq Amin, CEO of HUMAIN. "We are strengthening the region's position as a global hub for AI infrastructure, cloud capabilities, and next-generation AI services."
Access to power is one of the central constraints on AI infrastructure growth, and Saudi Arabia's power capacity is a key advantage. The location also provides low-latency access to several important regions, including Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. "Open source is quickly becoming the default way companies build with AI, because they want ownership – of their models, their data, and their intelligence," said Vipul Ved Prakash, Co-Founder and CEO of Together AI. "We're thrilled to partner with HUMAIN to unlock tremendous new capacity our customers need."
This partnership follows a pattern of US tech firms signing AI deals with HUMAIN in Saudi Arabia, with Nvidia, AMD, Qualcomm, and Amazon previously establishing similar agreements. As Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang noted at the time, "AI, like electricity and internet, is essential infrastructure for every nation", a vision that continues to drive Saudi Arabia's ambition to become a global AI hub.
