Biography

I am a Software Engineering student at Addis Ababa Institute of Technology (AAiT), Ethiopia. From the start of my academic journey, I have been passionate about software development, open-source technologies, and building impactful products. I’m especially enthusiastic about contributing to OpenELIS Global with my fellow developers, as I strongly believe in using technology to solve real-world problems in healthcare and education.

Since my first year, I’ve been a self-taught programmer who thrives on learning by doing — constantly building projects, contributing to teams, and teaching others. I actively participate in hackathons, and most recently, I won the GDG AI Hackathon by developing an AI-powered Library Seat Management System for our university. I love working on challenging problems, particularly those with practical and community impact. I’ve also taken the initiative to mentor junior students and provide them with roadmaps and guidance for their programming journeys specifically on Python and Full-Stack Development using MERN Stack specifically.
