Founded by Jenny Button, Emm has developed a medical-grade menstrual cup integrated with ultra-thin sensor technology. The device measures menstrual flow volume and cycle patterns, relaying personalized health insights to a connected app. The company states this data is intended to help users better understand their health and facilitate more informed discussions with healthcare providers.
The startup aims to address the significant historical under-investment in women's health technology. Button emphasized that menstruation is a key vital sign that has been largely ignored by the wearable device sector. The new funding will be used to support the product's commercial launch in the UK in early 2026 and to accelerate broader clinical development plans.
