Accelerationists want to go to the stars. Decelerationists want a well-managed retirement home. Today, this correlates with political differences. I argue for a big-tent accelerationist movement with enough room for a range of political positions.

Mindplex has a new look & feel, a new state of the art website based on Typescript, and a brand new artificial intelligence (AI) -powered newsroom.

Meta has revealed Prometheus, its most ambitious AI infrastructure project to date. Located in New Albany, Ohio, the supercluster is designed to train next-generation foundational models at an unprecedented scale. The first phase is already complete and was used to train the company's Muse family of models. At full scale, Prometheus will comprise roughly one million GPUs distributed across multiple interconnected buildings, all functioning as a single machine. The facility features advanced closed-loop liquid cooling and multi-generational NVIDIA hardware including GB200 and GB300 platforms.

Elon Musk's companies are advancing an unusually broad slate of technology initiatives in 2026, spanning brain-computer interfaces, humanoid robots, autonomous vehicles, semiconductor manufacturing, and AI infrastructure.

A team at Penn State has developed "neuromorphic tissue" - soft networks of water-based droplets connected by cell-like membranes that can process information using ions rather than electrons. The approach mimics how the brain processes signals and could lead to low-energy computing for wet environments and biological interfaces.
